Colonel Red (aka Redz) is no new kid on the block. Over the years he has worked with and written tracks for the likes of Anita Baker, Full Force, Maurice White (Earth, Wind and Fire) and Ruby Turner to more underground vibes with Landslide, YamWho?, I.G Culture, Domu, Spoonface, Daz-I-Kue, Likwid Biskit, Sweet Abraham, Beatless and the B15 Project as well as establishing himself as a solo singer in his own right.
His last album was the acclaimed ‘Milez Benjiman’ a collaboration written and produced with Dutch producers Gerd and Delgui, was released on the Tru Thoughts label in 2008. The ‘Feel Glorious’ album received rave reviews from many high profile dj’s from all over the world including Gilles Peterson, Laurent Garnier, The Nextmen and Hint.
May 2009 saw the release of Ruff Language's first EP, Colonel Red's 'Roaming Lion EP' featuring original songs from the forthcoming album and remixes by C.O.N.E, Ballantyne and DJ Mitsu the Beats as well as bonus acoustic renditions of tracks "Soulsidal" & "Roaming Lion" recorded by members of the 'Sweet Liberation' live band.
